Marjorie Milner College

Marjorie Milner College is the largest provider of Floristry Apprentices nationally and is also the longest running floristry trainer in Australia. Marjorie Milner College has extremely strong industry support from all sectors of the Industry. Marjorie Milner College prides itself in working in conjunction with employers to meet the training needs of individual workplaces.

The College was founded by the late Marjorie Milner in 1946. The current principal is Gregory Milner who holds a Diploma, Degree and Master of Education qualification. He is also an Interflora National Judge and a third generation florist. He has taught, judged and demonstrated across the world and he is an industry author.

Our students are mainly floristry apprentices, who in current years have won many competitions within the industry. In 2007 our students won the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show Intermediate and Advanced sections (as they did in the 2006) competitions. First place in the Interflora Accredited Provider Challenge (known as the TAFE Cup), First place in the Oasis Cup (Victoria), First place Junior section of the Australian Florists & Allied Trades Association Cup, First place in the Immediate section and First place in the Open section of the A.F.A.Cup. Our students have won the National Worldskills Competition twice and one of these students came seventh in the world at the International Worldskills Competition recently held in Japan.

We offer Certificate II, III & IV in Floristry. Marjorie Milner College has a high standard of teaching staff. The teaching staff is some of the most qualified in the Industry and prides themselves in keeping up with the current trends and the needs of the Floral Industry. All of the teaching staff is actively involved in industry functions. We have flexible delivery and ongoing enrolments.

Marjorie Milner College is situated in Surrey Hills, with the Chatham train station next door to the building. The college is situated at 401 Canterbury Road, Surrey Hills. The college is in a modern building, heated and air conditioned with excellent facilities including a new, spacious practical room.
