RETAILER OF THE MONTH - MAY 2010 - FROOTZ ON PARADE, FITZROY

Rob Russo and his son, Daniel are celebrating yet another success for their corner shop, Frootz on Parade, at 274 Queens Parade, North Fitzroy. They’ve won the Melbourne Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Market ‘s Retailer of the Month May award for Victoria.
They’ve won the award before, in March 2007, and in 2008 reached the top 10 finalists for the year. The premises have housed a fruit and vegetable busines for around 80 years, and the Russo family has been there for about seven years.
The business is a key part of a small shopping strip offering a variety of quality foods. A decorative carnival-flavoured wall mural adorns the outside of Frootz on Parade, which has a dedicated and loyal clientele.
Neat and inviting smaller displays mean that more fresh produce lines can be displayed, along with allied lines.
