Moringa oleifera

General Description/History:

The young fruit of the drumstick tree is usually peeled and cut into small pieces before being added to soups. The young leaves of the plant are also used in soups. The mature seeds yield bean oil, which is clear, sweet and odourless, never drying or becoming rancid. It is used to lubricate delicate machinery and in the perfume industry.
