Healthy Living and Eating Well
People have different ideas about what good health means, but there are some general healthy-eating principles that apply to us all. The most important is to consume a wide variety of foods. The food has more goodness when it's fresh and when it's not over-cooked. Fresh fruit and vegetables form an essential part of a healthy diet.
As well as general principles for healthy eating you will find tips in this section that will help you with a number of specific health and well-being issues and to assist you to maintain an appropriate diet.
In particular we provide nutrition and cooking tips for: healthy kids and growing bodies: maintaining a low fat diet; tips for active people to gain high energy and sports performance: nutrition advice especially for women: tips for following a low G.I diet to maintain balanced sugar levels.
