Wow, what a July we have had and the hands are still freezing! August, last month of winter and what can be said except that we are all now looking forward to Spring. Vegetables have been very popular in recipes this winter and fortunately there have been good supplies to meet shoppers demand. Dishes as simple as roasted vegetables and soups have proven to be popular as they are easy to prepare and can be stored for the day after.

It may be officially a “stall” but Rod Cohen’s business in the Coventry Street frontage of South Melbourne Market is more like a sophisticated retail shop.
It has gradually expanded over the 27 years he’s been in business there, now with three units of the market frontage, topped by a colourful signage.
