Wodonga TAFE

A leading provider of hospitality training in regional Victoria, Wodonga TAFE located just three hours north of Melbourne long the Hume Freeway, has a growing reputation in the niche areas of coffee making and bakery, as well as consistently giving its students the "edge" that comes from receiving high quality industry relevant training in state of the art facilities including our on campus restaurant, "The Valleys" . Recently our Institute Student of the Year, Cassie Henry, was a finalist in the Apprentice Category of the 2004 Victorian Training Awards.

The department has also been instrumental in the development of the "Hospitality on Wheels" trailer, which is literally a commercial training kitchen on wheels that opens up to also include a dining area. The trailer is being used to deliver training to secondary colleges in smaller communities where training facilities are limited or not available.

Our Science, Food and Technology department runs the all-important Safe Food Handling Basics course, as well as the Certificate IV in Food Science and Technology.
